Build a Scarecrow – Make a Difference.
Raise money for your favorite non-profit organization while having a great time with your family & friends. Build a festive scarecrow & decorate it with old clothes, hats, scarves, buttons – anything goes!
Summary of 2011 Build a Scarecrow – Make a Difference event:
“Build a Scarecrow – Make a Difference 2011″ was a major success! Thank you to all who participated especially the Dream a Dream Foundation, Leander High School, and everyone who bought scarecrows to support their favorite non-profit.
We have had a lot of interest this year and are limiting participation to ten groups. If you are part of an interested group, read below to see how easy & fun it is then contact us at: info@hillcountrywatergardens.com. Write “Make a Difference” in subject line of your email.
From now until our Fall Festival you can begin selling life sized scarecrows for $25.00 all of which goes to your non-profit. The group selling the most scarecrows will win an additional cash donation from Hill Country Water Gardens.
The day of the Fall Festival is the fun part. On that day your group will have use of our nursery as a location to build all of the scarecrows you have sold. There will be music & snacks combined with a beautiful festive atmosphere.
We will also provide most of the materials and training needed. We will have hay scarecrow frames, paints & some clothing. You can help by having your supporters empty their closets and donate old jeans, pants, shirts & hats to the cause.
