Abelia x ‘Canyon Creek’
– Evergreen shrub from China
– Fast growing, arching branches
– Copper-tinged yellow turn green
then leaves turn bronze in fall
– Flowers late spring to frost
– Good for unpruned, soft hedges
Every abelia is someone’s favorite! This one is Alan’s and Richard’s. They love the coppery color of the new foliage, which makes a high contrast against other garden plants and looks especially great with loropetalum. This one makes a beautiful soft, unpruned specimen plant, but looks especially cool right after it’s shaped and pushes out all that pretty, orange-red new growth.
