Ophiopogon jaburan argenteovittatus

– White and green striped grass
– White flowers on spikes
– Blooms in summer
– Great for tall borders

White leaf margins make this grass-like plant (actually more closely related to lilies) a great design element in shady gardens, where it can make a brighter accent or border in dry shade. While it is fairly well adapted to central Texas, it will be prettiest if you can give it some shade throughout the day and supplemental water during droughts, but it is more than capable of surviving even in fairly harsh summers without supplemental irrigation.
