Central Texas Permaculture
September 6th, 10-11 am
Are you interested in growing some of your own food, creating a food forest, and managing your landscape in a sustainable way? Then you might be interested in permaculture gardening: incorporating practices that let you treat your landscape like a functional ecosystem by building soil, using water intelligently, and planting in groups so that plants can benefit each other.
Unfortunately, many permaculture guides and resources are written by and for people growing in spaces with deep soil, significant rainfall, and temperate climates, which makes it challenging to apply them to Central Texas.
In this one hour class, Meghan will take you through how to read your landscape, site your gardens, and work with your unique conditions using dry farming techniques, permaculture concepts, and smart plant choices. It’s edible gardening meets native plant nerdery! Join us with a notebook, your caffeinated beverage of choice, and your curiosity ready to go.
