Vitus lambrusca

– Deciduous grape vine
– Clusters of large tart black grapes
– Hardy, drought and disease
– Developed in Texas

Closely related to Concord grapes, mature clusters of grapes are also large, beautiful, and dark, with a similar flavor profile. Between the gorgeous clusters of fruit and eye-catching fall color, this is a great grape for a visible part of your edible garden. Very acidic until fully ripe, and broadly used for jelly, juice, and wine making.
