Many of the miniature roses are not vigorous enough for Central Texas, but Coral Drift is an exception. Makes a beautiful, bright accent at the border of a rose garden. Created by the same breeders that produced KnockOut roses, Drift roses are meant to be relatively easy to care for, but please be prepared to provide lots of morning sun, protection from afternoon sun in the summer, regular applications of acidic fertilizer, and good air circulation. In the summer, they will turn yellow and defoliate if they get too hot, so avoid rock mulch or decomposed granite. Instead, use a thick layer of compost and hardwood mulch to keep the roots nice and cool.
