Ficus pumila

– Evergreen vine from eastern Asia
– Small, heart-shaped leaves
– Clings to most non-metal
surfaces without support
– Clean-looking wall coverage
– Can also be used as groundcover

For that rustic, cottagecore, crumbling-ruins aesthetic. We love adding creeping fig ivy to any planting that includes rock walls or statuary to instantly age it a little bit, make it look less new and artificial and more like it has been moldering gently in place for a few hundred years before you happened to stumble upon its unique beauty. It’s also much less invasive and destructive than English Ivy, which is often used for the same effect but can quickly get out of hand, with a more delicate look. We’re big fans.
