This is the largest abelia cultivar, and makes a great screen or hedge. Fast, densely growing foliage means it looks nice, full, and dark green shortly after you cut it back or shape it. Add in the flowers, and this is one of the prettiest evergreen hedges you can grow in Central Texas. Or grow it like Meghan’s mom as a big, beautiful, arcing specimen plant in front of a window (so you don’t have to look at your neighbor’s AC unit).
