Feijoa sellowiana

– Evergreen tree from central
South America
– Attractive gray-green leaves
– Exotic, edible flowers
– Sometimes makes delicious
fruit; requires a pollinator

Like the loquat, this is an awesome evergreen screening plant and a great plant for an edible garden or food forest! The silvery foliage is staff favorite, and we also love pinching the blossoms off and eating them when we see them. Apparently the blossoms are also excellent candied, but they never seem to last that long around here.
