Have you ever wondered what beautiful plants are planted in our flower beds, and why we chose them? Do you lie awake at night trying to figure out what makes Hill Country Water Gardens tick? Have you talked to Nathan before and thought, “man, that guy was weird. How does his brain operate?” Well, we don’t have ALL of those answers, but we can certainly give you a guided tour of our grounds and answer all of your burning questions about our plants!
Our flower beds are an ever-evolving beast that must be tamed from time to time. The nursery team has been hard at work for the past few months, removing old and overaggressive species, planting hundreds of new plants, and expanding and creating new flower beds! You’ll see some established beauties that define the front of our store, such as our Desert Willow, Turk’s Cap, or Pride of Barbados. As well as see our progress on Linden’s new native bed, or Richard’s revitalized herb garden.
Nursery manager and assistant GM Nathan Unclebach will be leading this plant walkthrough on October 4th at 10 a.m. Walk alongside him and absorb his decades of cool and weird plant knowledge. Spots are very limited, so sign up now!
