Bauhinia lunarioides

– Small ornamental tree
– White/pale pink flowers
– Fast growing
– Abundant blooms in spring
– Thrives in limestone soils

Another one of our favorite native ornamental trees! Typically grown in multi-trunk tree form, the Anacacho Orchid is an incredibly drought-tolerant specimen that will thrive in our rocky limestone soils. The silver-gray bark is adorned with abundant white blooms in the spring which resemble orchid blooms! The blooms are a great nectar source for bees and butterflies. Give this one really good drainage and extra protection from the cold.
