Prunus persica ‘June Gold’

– Long-time Texas favorite!
Freestone. Harvest in June.
– Large, sweet with yellow flesh,
Juicy & melts in your mouth!
– Self-fertile. Heavy producer!
– Blooms resist frost well!

This is our best-selling peach variety because it’s delicious, with sweet, melting flesh and freestone when fully ripe. We have one planted in the food forest by the street and we can’t wait to eat them! Peach trees are self-fertile and do beautifully in central Texas, but they do require that you take care to provide lots of organic matter in spring and fall for a long lived, well-producing plant. Prune to a vase shape for maximum air circulation, sunshine to ripen your peaches, and fruits that you can reach up and pick easily. 450 chill hours.
