father's Day gift ideas leander cedar park, austin georgetown texas

Father's Day is Sunday, June 21, this year!

Being a dad, and a life-long gardener I recommend these gifts. Every idea here may not be for every dad out there but if your dad spends more time outside than inside, he may like these too.

Tools! Nice, new, super-sharp garden tools. Many of us dads will use a dull saw until it's done. Or our arms give out.

Brown-Turkey-Fig

Fruit trees! Back in the day, we didn't care about eating fresh fruit. Now that we're older and wiser, we really appreciate fruit straight off the tree!

Mulch? Yes. Gardener Dads appreciate a fresh bag of mulch! Compost too! It's lame. But it's important to us.

A new garden hat. Mine's just about shot, and I'm not sewing it up anytime soon! (There are men's styles on the other side of this rack!

Small-Succulent-Arrangement1

Most dads are sentimental, even if they don't (always) show it. If my kids and wife put together a succulent or cactus dish garden for me, it would become the centerpiece of my next outdoor project!

Koi fish for ponds in leander cedar park, geaorgetown, round rock austin texas

Hand-selected koi from my kids? Yes!

A giant handful of seeds for the vegetable garden. Yes! Especially if you promise to plant them with me. It's not so much the seed but the promise of spending time together. And even better when we enjoy the fruits of our labor!

A new water feature! We can't always be on the lake or hiking up the hill alongside a waterfall. But we can find the time, at the end of a long day, to sip a refreshing beverage next to a bubbling water feature that calms the mind.

hill country water gardens gift cards. Cedar, Park Texas. Gift ideas for father's Day

Gift Cards are NEVER a bad idea for Dad! We'd love to spend the day with you at HCWG shopping for something special we normally would buy.

As I said, some of these won't be for your father. But I like them (hint hint 😛 ) Just make sure you call or visit. And if your dad's gone to a better place, raise a glass!
